Clarity XL45 Amplified Telephone

Extra Loud, Big Button Speakerphone

Clarity released the XL45™ amplified telephone designed for those with hearing and vision loss in mind. Taking the worry out of new technology, the Clarity XL45™ includes ClarityLogic, a new, patented and unprecedented service from Clarity that personalizes the phone uniquely for the end-user’s needs. The user can simply call an 800-phone number and a Clarity representative will remotely evaluate the phone and adjust settings for her as needed, such as programming the phonebook or customizing the amplification.

“Before giving my parents a Clarity phone, I found myself hesitating to call because I knew it was nothing but frustration for them,” said John West, 63, of Hopkinsville, Ky. “It was a practical gift that has meant a lot to my parents, particularly my mother.”

The phone uses Digital Clarity Power, a patented technology only found in Clarity phones that can distinguish between incoming voices and background noises and ultimately amplify up to 50 decibels the sounds a user wants to hear. The phone also amplifies outgoing voices up to 15 decibels and includes options for additional equipment such as ring notification flashers and bed shakers. With bold, backlit buttons and displays the phone is also easier to use for those with sight loss and arthritis.

“We love hearing success stories of our phones reconnecting families,” said Carsten Trads, president of Clarity. “Each time we upgrade a phone or add a new feature like ClarityLogic we hear from dozens of people saying, ‘This is exactly what we needed.’ And more often than not, they mention how exciting it was for their mom to be able to call family and friends again.”

The Clarity XL45™ includes a large, tilting LCD display for caller-ID and other functions, amplified speakerphone, large keys that speak back the number that was pushed, and four speed dial buttons. The ringer has multiple tone options, can reach 90 decibels and includes a built-in flasher for visual notification. To help you keep in touch when the power goes out, the phone has Dual Power Backup.

The Clarity XL45 can be purchased online for $149.95. Clarity is offering a limited time special of 15% off for Mother’s Day.
