Chinavasions Media Server Makes YouTube On Home Theaters A Possibility

The first decade of the 21st century is almost over. But the home is still a long way from being the automated interconnected paradise we were promised it would be at the end of the 20th century. That’s starting to change thanks to Chinavasion’s new UPnP media server. It lets you bring everything from your computer, and the World Wide Web, onto your home theater system.

Media servers, like Chinavasion’s UPnP media server and Apple TV, are gadgets that connect to your television and communicate with your PC. It can be a wired or wireless connection. It tops other forms of connection because it is so easy to set up.

According to Chinavasion’s Rose Li media servers are the next step towards a completely connected household.

“Media servers are an absolute must for people who dream of the day when they can surf the internet and order their groceries from their home theater system,” said Rose Li.

Most media servers don’t completely fill customer needs. They might just connect customers’ TV to their computer without doing anything else.

They may not let the customer get videos from the locations they want to visit.

They might limit the customer to the choice of TV or separate memory device they can plug into the server.

They may also hide away setup files to make it almost impossible for the customer to configure their system themselves.

According to Chinavasion’s Rose Li customers who have tried the UPnP media server find that it’s not only easy to use it’s also very versatile. With inputs for CF, SD cards, USBs, RCA inputs and composite inputs it lets people use their media server the way that they want to.

“At Chinavasion we believe the customer is always right so we don’t dictate how our products should be used by limiting connections,” said Rose Li.

What’s more, according to Chinavasion’s Rose Li, just entering the URL of the video you want to watch or the song you want to listen to on the computer will prepare it for playing on the home theater.
