HOLLY HILL, FLA., APRIL 4, 2006: Car customization legend Will Castro — owner of Unique Autosports and star of Speed’s hit show Unique Whips — announces his partnership with Metra Electronics. The partnership includes the exclusive use of Tsunami — Metra’s competition-level brand of car A/V accessories — and the full range of Metra brands on Unique Whips, as well as for other project vehicle installations.

Castro kicked off his new partnership at 2006 Spring Break Nationals, where he met fans and signed autographs at Metra’s booth. Tsunami and other Metra brands will be featured on Unique Whips starting next season.

In addition to the high quality of Metra’s products across all brands, Castro said that several other factors entered into his decision to end his partnership with another mobile audio accessories company in favor of Metra.

“Metra’s game is tight, they think it, design it, make it and sell it, that’s the kind of partner you got to have if you want to be at the top in this game,” said Castro.

“Metra also does global marketing, and has a strong grasp of where we’re going with Unique Autosports, Unique Whips and beyond. As one of the top dogs in 12 volt, they’re who we want to roll with.”

“I welcome our partnership with Will Castro on behalf of the entire Metra family,” said Bill Jones, President of Metra. “As Will extends his influence from being a leader in our industry to a household name, Metra is the only 12-volt accessories company qualified to meet the growing needs of his entire enterprise. We look forward to achieving great things together.”

Based in Holly Hill, FL, with offices in Long Beach, CA, Metra Electronics (www.metraonline.com) is a leader in the auto sound industry as parent company of such consumer and professional installation brands as Axxess, Install Bay/Fishman, Raptor, Silencer and Tsunami, as well as the Ethereal brand of home audio/video interconnects.
