Whether working from the home office, helping a child with his/her school project or simply printing out pictures from a family trip, Canon provides solutions that fit consumers’ lifestyles in look, feel, design and functionality. The new PIXMA MP530, PIXMA MP460, PIXMA MP180 and PIXMA MP160 All-In-One (AIO) units provide solutions for business productivity and photo creativity.

Just “Round” The Corner — Canon Incorporates Design and Functionality for the Home:
With a sleek, slanted design featuring rounded corners and a space-saving low profile, Canon is kicking it up a notch with sharp new designs for the masses. As more and more consumers begin to familiarize themselves with the benefits of an AIO for the home, the demands go beyond just having the best technology. Whether your office is in the kitchen, the dining room, or the bedroom – design, ease of use and reliability have come to the forefront with Canon’s latest announcements.

“With home-office AIO printers becoming everyday household items and digital photography’s popularity increasing by leaps and bounds, Canon has created a new generation of multi-function printers that further links the photographic world to that of the home office,” stated Yukiaki Hashimoto, senior vice president and general manager of the consumer imaging group at Canon U.S.A., Inc. “These PIXMA All-In-One units bring us one step closer to harmonizing printing functionality and performance with imaging-excellence and a sense of home decor/style.”

PIXMA MP460: An All-In-One With Photo Style
The PIXMA MP460 Photo AIO (estimated selling price $129.99)1, sporting a high-gloss, acrylic finish, enhances productivity, maximizes home office space and adds a dash of photo fun to the workflow. With ink droplets as small as two picoliters, and resolution as high as 4800 x 1200 color dpi2, this photo printer can print 4″x 6″ borderless photo-lab quality prints with dry-to-the-touch precision in just about 52 seconds3. Direct printing is also a snap with memory card slots and PictBridge capabilities for fast and easy PC-free printing.

To improve copying and scanning performance, the MP460 is equipped with Canon’s state-of-the-art Z-Lid technology, which allows users to lift the scan lid approximately one-inch over a three-dimensional object for easy scanning, even with bulkier items such as personal notebooks.

PIXMA MP180: Value Plus Performance Equals a Market Standout
At an estimated selling price of $99.991, the PIXMA MP180 Photo AIO offers fast, easy-to-use features with the convenience of direct photo printing in all the popular sizes from wallet to 8.5″x 11″ prints. Now Canon even offers ready-to-frame 8″x 10″ prints that require no trimming before framing. With microscopic ink droplets as small as two picoliters, and resolution as high as 4800 x 1200 color dpi2 this photo AIO can print borderless photo lab quality prints, while also producing copies at a maximum rate of 22 black-and-white and 17 color copies per minute3. By incorporating CanonFull-photolithography Inkjet Nozzle Engineering (FINE) technology, consumers can produce virtually grain-free photos with the same look and feel of a traditional photo.

PIXMA MP160: Incredible Performance and Value
As an encore to the bestselling PIXMA MP150, Canon rounds out its entry-level photo AIO lineup with the introduction of the new PIXMA MP160 Photo AIO at an estimated selling price of $89.991. This four-color product, with true-pigmented black and high intensity color inks, is ideal for printing text, web pages and photos. With the PIXMA MP160, entry-level price does not mean entry-level performance with resolution as high as 4800 x 1200 color dpi2 and the ability to copy up to 22 pages per minute in monochrome and 17 pages per minute3 in color and allows for printing photos without a PC, with a convenient PictBridge port.

PIXMA MP530: For the “True” Small/Home Office User
From small office to home office, Canon adds one more office AIO to its lineup with the addition of the PIXMA MP530 (estimated selling price $199.99)1. Following the success of the award-winning PIXMA MP830 Office AIO, the new PIXMA MP530 printing powerhouse takes the ease-of-use and performance of a great photo AIO and adds big business productivity with the addition of FAX and Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) capabilities. The PIXMA MP530 Office AIO incorporates the Canon individual ink tank system with Smart LED technology, designed to help reduce ink waste for the home and business user. To help ensure business documents will be sharp, while graphics and photos maintain vibrant color and detail, the MP530 employs a hybrid ink system containing both a pigmented black as well as a dye-based black. The PIXMA MP530 also incorporates Canon Advanced Paper Handling technology for the small/home office consumers looking to maximize efficiency by using two-sided printing.

Improved Copy Technology:
All new additions to the Canon AIO line-up employ advanced copy technology to help give the user amazing reproductions of original images and documents. Dual Color Gamut Processing Technology improves color accuracy by independently controlling brightness, hue, and other elements to make sure that there are minimal differences between the original and the copy. In addition, with Text and Image Separation Technology, the system can actually differentiate text from an image, making black text and fine lines darker and sharp. Now when black text appears over an image, the text on the following generations of copies can be virtually as clear as the first. These technologies plus hardware improvements in scanning and printing can help make a copy almost indistinguishable from the original.

ChromaLife100 System
These newest PIXMA AIOs use the Canon ChromaLife100 system, including the FINE print head technology for great photo printing. When using select genuine Canon photo papers and inks, prints can resist fading for up to 100 years when stored in an archival quality photo album.4 The up to 100-year-lifespan rivals that of many traditional film based photos, long considered by consumers to be the benchmark for image permanence. Prints produced on Canon Photo Paper Pro with ChromaLife100-compatible inks have an up to ten-year gas fastness when exposed to open air.4 ChromaLife100 prints when created using genuine Canon photo paper like Photo Paper Pro or Photo Paper Plus Glossy, have up to 30-year lightfastness when displayed under glass.4

FINE Engineering
Launched globally by Canon in 1999, the Canon Full-photolithography Inkjet Nozzle Engineering (FINE) advanced print head technology is one of the keys to the impressive speed and high photo quality in PIXMA photo all-in-one printers. FINE uses a groundbreaking high-performance multi-nozzle print engine that ejects consistent and microscopic ink droplets. The results are high-resolution photos with detail and clarity in less time.

Photo Paper Plus Semi-Gloss (SG-201): The Expansion of Canon’s Photo Paper Lineup
Canon introduces a new paper finish to further expand creative options for consumers with the introduction of Photo Paper Plus Semi-Gloss in a variety of sizes. Photo Paper Plus Semi-Gloss (SG-201) provides a warm luster or pearl finish that closely resembles a traditional retail print. This new paper style will be available in all of the most popular sizes, including
