Denmark-based Buchardt Audio celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2023. We have reviewed and reported on two past offerings, the S400 and P300 bookshelf speakers. Over the last decade, Buchardt speakers have provided Hi-Fi enthusiasts with a great listening experience and the opportunity to save money by buying direct.
As part of their 10th anniversary, Buchardt announced the Anniversary 10 (aka A10) WiSA wireless loudspeakers.
The A10 carries on the Buchardt tradition of in-house cabinet production and speaker assembly.
Also, what Buchardt can’t do in-house they use partners located in Denmark. This allows Buchardt to pay attention to details that deliver high performance for its customers.
The Anniversary 10 offer low end response down to almost 28Hz depending on the size of your room and setup, but that has not stopped Buchardt from introducing a rather compact subwoofer that also offers WiSA wireless connectivity.
The SUB10 features a very powerful long-stroke 10” woofer that has been designed specifically for this exact enclosure and Hypex amplifier.
The subwoofer also carries WiSA for wireless use with their range of active speakers, as well as standard wired connections for passive systems.
It also features Bluetooth for app-controlled DSP functions like Room Correction, Manual EQ, variable LLE slider, and more.
The only 6.3-inch (16 cm) slim design is ideal for near-wall placement both on its side, standing up, and even lying on its back if you have special application needs, like placing it under your couch.
Hypex Class D Amplifier
Combined with a state-of-the-art power supply, this power stage claims to deliver up to 1200-watts (peak) into the woofers voice coil, which is only possible due sophisticated DSP processing assuring all parts are always running at their maximum performance.

Price & Availability
The Buchardt SUB10 is available for pre-order for €1,300 €1,150 with an expected June 2024 release date at which time price will revert to €1,300 ($1,400 USD). Pre-order pricing is also available now to U.S. destinations for $1,245 USD.
