Seven-Channel, Two-Zone, Installer-Friendly AV7120 and AV7100 Deliver Top Performance, Versatility, UniView

Boston Acoustics’ first-ever AV receivers, the AVR7120 and AV7100 are 7.1-channel, two-zone powerhouses that provide the highest picture and sound quality in their class. Featuring impressive processing power, the AVR7120 and AV7100 are an unusually versatile sound solution for component-based Home Theaters.

Both receivers feature Boston Acoustics’ exclusive UniView™ video technology, incredible inter-connectivity, and a host of installer-friendly features. The AVR7120 delivers 120 watts per channel across all channels, automatic system calibration and equalization assisted by the Boston Acoustics-calibrated microphone provided; while the AV7100 delivers 100 watts per channel. Both receivers provide exceptional sound solutions for the integration of Home Theater and Control, Whole House Audio, and digital convergence and connectivity with the PC.

Both the flagship AVR7120 and companion AV7100 deliver detailed, dynamic surround sound with well-managed bass regardless of format. Among the many they support are Dolby Digital Surround EX™, DTS-ES™, DTS 96/24, DTS NEO: 6, and Dolby Pro Logic IIx. in addition, built-in AM/FM radios support 30 presets in each model.

The sound quality, of course, is The Boston Sound™ — pure, natural, and true to the original. The Boston Sound is renowned for its smooth octave-to-octave tonal balance, from the deepest bass to the highest treble. All Boston Acoustics systems present highs, mids and lows in perfect balance. It is the same consistent voice you hear no matter which Boston speakers you are listening to.

Boston Acoustics’ proprietary UniView™ technology ensures video connectivity without complexity. Users can add any video device to the AVR 7120 and AV7100 without concern about connector type. UniView automatically sorts it all out, converting any video input to 480i component output and assuring the best possible picture quality regardless of source. The result is unprecedented ease of connection and operation. Users can instantly, and correctly, connect any video device, regardless of connector type. With an HD-ready TV, video sources such as digital cable and satellite look as good as DVD.

Features custom installers and will appreciate include a pre-programmed learning remote with an LCD screen, automatic set-up with a supplied Omnidirectional calibrated microphone, a second zone with an independent remote control, a USB audio input for PC audio integration on the AVR7120, RS-232 control with an upgradeable flash memory, discrete IR codes, and a wealth of custom configurable connections.

For the AVR7120, these connections include five optical and two coaxial digital inputs, a digital output, and eight preamp outputs, including two for subwoofers; two 12-volt triggers, one of which is user-assignable; three HDTV-ready component video outputs, five rear-panel audio inputs, and six audio inputs with phono capability.
