International smartphone works in more than 185 countries

Anyone traveling for business or pleasure will want to check out the BlackBerry Tour 9630 smartphone, the international phone featuring 3G technology with full multimedia support, GPS capability, faster browsing, and document editing and viewing capability. The device can be used across the globe, and is now available at Sprint stores throughout central Illinois and the Quad Cities.

The BlackBerry Tour 9630 is designed for the traveler that needs to stay connected. The 3.2 megapixel auto-focus camera easily identifies where a picture was taken with geo-tagging functionality. The smartphone also makes photo sharing simple with access to networking sites like Facebook, MySpace and flickr. The MicroSD™ card slot supports up to 16 GB of space, providing the room needed for images, music, and larger work files like presentations and reports.

It’s slimmer than a deck of playing cards, but the Tour 9630 has the power to do more of the things that matter in life almost anywhere in the world:

  • The full QWERTY keyboard makes sending emails and editing documents quick and easy
  • Data gets delivered to the smartphone automatically thanks to BlackBerry Push Technology.
  • Users can keep in touch with colleagues or loved ones through instant messaging, or up-to-date on news, sports, weather and movies with Sprint TV.

“The BlackBerry Tour 9630 truly puts the world at your fingertips, making it effortless to connect with work and home no matter where you go,” says William Derrick, General Manager at iPCS Wireless, the Sprint PCS affiliate in Illinois and Iowa. “Its compact, sophisticated design and array of features from the fun to the functional are the perfect fit for the globetrotter.”

For a limited time, the BlackBerry Tour 9630 is $199.99 (excludes taxes). The offer is available to new-line activations or eligible upgrades with a two-year service agreement.
