AVID HiFi may be best known for its world-class turntables, but 2025 marks 30 years of British engineering excellence—and they’re not slowing down. Hot on the heels of the striking Relveo turntable, AVID is celebrating its milestone with something even bigger: the new EVO TWO loudspeaker. It’s the company’s latest flagship floorstander and a continuation of founder Conrad Mas’ mission to control every link in the hi-fi chain.
Following the backward-named but well-regarded EVO THREE, the new 3.5-way EVO TWO promises deeper bass, wider dynamics, and a soundstage expansive enough to make your walls sweat.
The EVO TWO builds on the EVO THREE’s blueprint but sharpens the edges where it counts—especially down low. AVID has tweaked the cabinet and driver layout to deliver deeper bass and a soundstage with real depth, so whether it’s pounding electronic beats or sweeping orchestral scores, this speaker handles it all with greater authority and realism.
Under the hood, you get a premium lineup: a 28mm Acuflex™ hand-coated soft dome tweeter, which uses a special damping compound to tame diaphragm flex and tighten up those high frequencies. The midrange gets muscle from a pair of 160mm drivers with 75mm titanium voice coil formers, while a hefty 250mm woofer handles the low end with aplomb.
All this hardware sits on a rigid brushed anodized aluminum baffle and rear plate, precision-machined in AVID’s own factory, with a 20mm thick front plate to keep everything rock solid. Finish options include a tasteful black or gloss white, because, yes, it should look as good as it sounds.
From Conrad Mas, Managing Director of AVID HiFi: “The EVO TWO was developed in response to customer feedback requesting a speaker with great presence and low-end articulation, whilst maintaining the clarity and openness characteristic of the EVO series…It is particularly suitable for larger rooms and properties where wall construction may be less rigid, a common scenario in many North American homes.”

EVO TWO Loudspeaker Key Features:
The EVO TWO uses a 3.5-way driver configuration in a floorstanding enclosure, offering a low-end extension down to 28Hz via a 10-inch woofer and a vertically downward-firing port. That port design isn’t just aesthetic—it helps improve bass response and allows for more flexible room placement.
Compared to the EVO THREE and EVO FOUR, the EVO TWO offers a broader dynamic range and a deeper, more defined soundstage. The tuning emphasizes clarity and control across a variety of genres, especially electronic and orchestral material where scale and separation are essential.
A Tuned Mass Technology (TMT) damping system helps manage cabinet resonance and internal vibration, allowing the drivers to perform more cleanly. The speaker is also tuned with domestic environments in mind, including those with less-than-ideal wall construction.
Built in Cambridgeshire, England, the EVO TWO uses 18mm moisture-resistant MDF, with all parts CNC-machined to tight tolerances. The rigid front baffle is machined from solid 20mm aluminum, and the speaker is available in gloss black or white. At nearly 93 pounds, it’s a substantial loudspeaker designed for long-term use across a wide range of systems.

The Bottom Line
The EVO TWO isn’t AVID HIFI’s first foray into loudspeakers, but it might be its boldest. Best known for turntables like the Acutus, Ingenium, Sequel, and most recently the Relveo, AVID has spent the past three decades building a reputation for British precision and industrial-grade engineering. That legacy shows in the EVO TWO’s construction and performance-oriented design.
But at around $40,000 per pair, it enters a fiercely competitive tier—going head-to-head with established heavyweights like Focal, DALI, Wilson Audio, Dynaudio, and Sonus faber. Whether the EVO TWO can carve out its own space in that crowd will depend on system synergy, room integration, and how much you value AVID’s commitment to British-made engineering. Either way, this isn’t a speaker designed to gather dust in a corner.
Price & Availability
The new loudspeaker will make its international debut at the Taiwan International TAA Hi-End Audio Show 2025 (7-10 August) and will be available through authorized AVID dealers from September 2025.
The EVO TWO is priced at: $38,995 (US), £27,995, €34,995 per pair.
