AVAD LLC, North America’s leading distributor of custom home electronics, has announced its award-winning custom publication, Gear Head, will now be available to all members of the Custom Electronic Design & Installation Association (CEDIA). CEDIA members can sign up to receive complementary subscriptions to Gear Head, featuring expert advice and industry insight on audio, video, structured wiring, whole-house distribution and more, through CEDIA’s bi-monthly e-newsletter, “e”VENTS. Prior to this exclusive partnership with CEDIA, Gear Head subscriptions were restricted only to AVAD dealers and vendors.

Gear Head is published three times a year and features articles from AVAD dealers, vendors, employees and other respected experts in the custom electronics industry. Since its inaugural issue unveiled at CEDIA Expo 2007, Gear Head’ circulation has grown to approximately 18,000 subscribers with distribution throughout North America. The magazine has garnered numerous awards for its design and editorial content. Gear Head earned the Gold Award at the Custom Publishing Council’s 2007 Pearl Awards in the “Design: Best New Publication/Magazine” category, and in 2008, the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP) awarded the magazine a MarCom Platinum Award in the “Design/Magazine Cover” category.
