AVAD To Launch New Distribution Center to Better Serve its Great Plains Dealers

FT. LAUDERDALE, FL — December 28, 2004 — AVAD, America’s leading distributor of custom home technology, announced today that plans are underway for the inauguration of a new AVAD facility to better serve the needs of their great plains dealer base. Custom installers in Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas and Southern Illinois will greater benefit from the AVAD advantage with the closer proximity of the new location.

The new AVAD Great Plains branch is scheduled to open in Missouri next year. The new location will expand AVAD’s service offerings and provide the same level of quality value-adds as the rest of the nationwide locations. Featuring a showroom, warehouse, training room and office space, the state-of-the-art distribution center will offer installers the best products, manufacturer training, complete design and integration assistance, next-day delivery, plus education and certification programs such as CEDIA’s Level I Installer Certification and D2B (Dealer to Builder) program certifications.

“We are extremely excited to launch a new AVAD location in Missouri,” said Joe Piccirilli, managing director of AVAD. “The new branch will enable us to better serve our dealer base, and I’m certain that the addition of Shawn Dixon to the team will ensure AVAD Great Plains’ steady growth and success.”

Overseeing operations, Shawn Dixon joins as Territory Manager. Dixon will head up the sales efforts, providing dealer support with new program and product rollouts. With over sixteen years in the consumer electronics industry, Dixon brings vast distribution and retail experience to lead operations. Most recently, Dixon was employed for four years with a local Independent Representative company, operating as an outside Sales Rep for Missouri and Southern Illinois. Former positions include distribution management, sales representation, as well as retail management.
