Arxceo’s Ally ip100 Recognized as SC Magazine’s ‘Best of 2006’ Intrusion Prevention Products
HUNTSVILLE, AL, December 20, 2006 — Arxceo Corporation, a provider of anti-reconnaissance and anomaly-based attack prevention technology, today announced that SC Magazine has included Arxceo’s Ally ip100 security appliance among its ‘Best of 2006’ Intrusion Prevention products in its December year-end review. The Ally ip100 security appliance was awarded ‘Best Buy’ for small and medium-sized businesses by SC Magazine in the magazine’s May 2006 Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS) Group Test.
SC Magazine’s overall verdict on the Ally ip100 was “an astonishing performance from such a tiny product.” In the 2006 Group Test, the Ally ip100 received the only perfect score with a five-star rating in all six of the magazine’s ratings categories, which include ease-of-use, performance, documentation, support and value for the money.
According to SC Magazine’s Technology Editor Peter Stephenson, “This product is a great buy for small-to-medium-sized companies or even personal networks. It is simple to deploy and configure and requires very little administration, which adds to its value.” The M.S.R.P. for the Ally ip100 is $895.00.
“We are honored to be named one of SC Magazine’s ‘Best of 2006’ products,” said Don Davidson, CEO, Arxceo. “We also appreciate that SC Magazine recognizes that simplicity is better when it comes to deploying an IPS product. We continue to believe that the Ally ip100 is the most affordable and best anti-reconnaissance defense against data theft, zero-day attacks and address spoofing for the SMB market.”
