Aquatic AV Goes Wireless with 2nd Generation Line of Multi-Environment Audio-Video Products

San Jose, Calif., (February 9, 2007) — Aquatic AV (www.aquaticav.com), a leading manufacturer of multi-environment audio-video products, introduces its second generation Multi-Environment products. Launched in 2005 with the vision to develop industry-leading multi-environment products for spa, marine, recreational vehicle and special application designer home channels, Aquatic AV has set the trade benchmark for Multi-Environment product design with minimum water/dust standards focusing on third party testing criteria. Aquatic AV continues its mission with its second-generation product line. Still committed to the highest standards of dust, water and humidity protection, Aquatic AV’s full multi-environment product line features the first wireless Dot Matrix Flush Mount Data Controller.

“Our introduction to the multi-environment marketplace brought the most durable products for any outdoor environment,” said Dave Black, president, Aquatic AV. “Our second generation of multi-environment electronics exceeds the first generation environmental protection standards and adds new functionality featuring wireless control and upgraded features.”

Dedicated to the highest standards of environmental protection, the majority of Aquatic AV platforms must meet a minimum CFR46 water protection standard and NEMA (National Electronics Manufacturer Association) IP (Intrusion Protection) standards that certify both water and dust device protection. Aquatic AV products also support a minimum of 500 hours of independent party environmental laboratory testing for salt fog, ultraviolet, and humidity.

Aquatic AV’s newest device, the Dot Matrix Flush Mount Data Controller breaks away from the traditional wired remote application for boats and spas. The device will host two way RF transmission of Radio, CD, DVD, iPod, and Satellite Radio commands wirelessly. Designed with the boating enthusiast in mind, Black believes “our customers don’t want to add extension cable after extension cable every time they install systems on the production line or in an install bay. The shearer cost of material and added labor alone strongly suggests our direction has traction. Both OEM and Aftermarket customers will agree after seeing our signature wireless controller.”

Aquatic AV is also introducing two new DVD and CD MEDIA CONTROL CENTERS with dual zone media capability and plug and play UI flexibility for iPod, XM SAT Radio. MEDIA CONTROL CENTER platforms feature polished 316 grade stainless steel sealed chassis, watertight transport and mounting seals, and non-corrosive materials. These new platforms host dedicated Aux inputs for iPod, MX Mini Tuner and other plug and play RCA based devices.

Recognizing a growing need for transportability in product control, Aquatic AV added RF control flexibility to the new transportable remotes. They also are IP compliant and float if dropped in water.

Lastly, Aquatic AV also adds two Multi-Zone 6-channel amplifiers with optional local volume controllers. Users can not only choose between media sources, but also have local in-zone volume control. This is especially helpful in Multi-Zone Marine and RV applications.

“What’s very interesting to me is the Aquatic AV product development direction is parallel to the multi-room, multi-zone direction lead by the home audio/video suppliers 10 years ago,” said Black. “The only definable difference is where the products are being used. Aquatic AV’s single passion is making 12-volt audio/video products excel where they shouldn’t.”
