San Jose, Calif., (May 1, 2006) — Aquatic AV (www.aquaticav.com), a leading manufacturer of multi-environment audio systems and Media Control Centers, introduces its line of wired and wireless remotes. Designed to perform in any harsh environment, these highly functional, weather-resistant remotes are an indispensable addition to any multi-environment multimedia installation.

“Just like our media control centers, we’ve designed our wired and wireless remotes to withstand any harsh environmental condition,” said Dave Black, president and CEO, Aquatic AV. “Our design and technical team have done an excellent job creating both stylish and hard working units. We know these remotes will be a top seller in its category.”

Introduced last year, Aquatic AV has quickly become a leader of multi-environment products with its IP-rated and Media Control Centers. The company is the first multi-environment company exclusively committed to manufacturing audio-video products designed specifically for use in any environment.

Similar to its and Media Control Centers, Aquatic AV’s wired and wireless remotes are rated IP66 which means they can withstand both dust and water intrusion at high levels. Additionally, the remotes meet a minimum of 400 hours of environmental laboratory testing for salt fog, ultraviolet, humidity and dust. The wired remotes are completely submersible, and wireless remotes float. This makes them perfect for the marine, spa, RV, or home sauna environment.

Aquatic AV wired remotes (#AQ-WR-102F, #AQ-WR-102FD) are designed to work with both the CD and DVD Media Control Centers. The beautifully designed remotes feature water resistant, submersible and flush mount design, and back-lit control surfaces. The wired remotes are designed for simultaneous use of up to four-remotes per media control center and is connected by a single 12-volte watertight power and data connectors. The wired remotes feature Aquatic AV’s signature bonus 12-volt extension button for use for any 12-volt accessory. Its patent-pending wireless IR receptacle works seamlessly with the Aquatic AV wireless remote. Both the AQ-WR-102F and AQ-WR-102FD are currently available nationwide at specialty dealers and boating stores and retail for $199.00.

The wireless remote (#AQ-IRRD, #AQ-IRR) in an IR remote that wirelessly communicates with Aquatic AV’s Media Control Centers and/or its wired remotes. The wireless remote’s bright yellow design enables easy identification and retrieval when used in low-light or marine environments. The wireless remote features a stainless steel key connector and will float if accidentally dropped in the water. The wireless remote also features Aquatic AV’s extra 12-volt extension button for other 12-volt marine accessories. According to Black “the 12-volt extension button is a terrific added feature that allows a user to control additional lights, horn or accessory.” These wireless IR remotes are available nationwide for a retail price of $69.99.

Later this month, Aquatic AV will distribute its new wireless RF remotes with up to 200 feet of wireless range. These two new remotes (#AQ-RFR-1, #AQ-RFRD-1) will come in a stylish cream-color and feature Aquatic AV’s signature 12-volt extension button. The wireless RF remotes will connect to any Aquatic AV Media Control Center and wired remote to offer complete wireless control.

Committed to a unique line of consumer electronics products, Aquatic AV is the definitive leader in the multi-environment multimedia category and will continue to develop products specifically designed for use in any setting.
