American Power Conversion Unveils the C2 Power Filter to Deliver Clean Power to Wall Mounted Displays

Advanced Power Protection and Isolated Noise Filtering in a
Discreet Wall-Mountable Design

LAS VEGAS — January 8, 2007 — American Power Conversion (Nasdaq: APCC) (APC), a world leader in power availability and protection solutions, today introduced the APC C2 Power Filter that delivers surge protection and isolated noise filtering to wall mounted displays. Ideal for the home audio/video market, the C2 Power Filter features two surge-protected outlets, LED status indicators, and a slim profile, allowing consumers to install the device directly behind a wall mounted television.

“With the proliferation of plasma, LCD and projection displays, AV consumers are seeking more discreet power protection solutions to integrate with the sleek styles of their home theaters,” said Joe Loberti, APC’s vice president of Home and Distributed Systems. “APC AV’s C2 Power Filter offers a slender design with the proven functionality of our award-winning AV solutions, including surge protection and isolated noise filtration, as well as APC’s Equipment Protection Policy.”

APC AV’s C2 Power Filter protects valuable home theater equipment from damaging surges and spikes caused by power anomalies such as lightning. Additionally, isolated input and output noise filter banks help eliminate electromagnetic and radio frequency interference (EMI/RFI) as a source of audio/video signal degradation. The LED status indicators on the C2 Power Filter provide proactive notification of changing power conditions including filtering, protection, overload, and wiring faults. A detachable two-foot power cord makes installation easier and provides flexibility to the user or installer, giving them the option to switch to a longer cord (sold separately) for particular installations.

Available in the fourth quarter 2006, the C2 Power Filter comes with a $350,000 Equipment Protection Policy for connected equipment and carries an estimated resale price of $99.99. APC will exhibit this and other APC AV products at 2007 International CES from January 8-11 in booth 21862 South Hall 1.
