Diamond Bar, Calif.–January 4, 2007–Advanced Media, Inc., manufacturer and marketer of the popular RIDATA brand of recordable CD and DVD media, electronic storage products, and digital media accessories, is adding a Secure Digital High Capacity (SDHC) card to its RIDATA lineup of flash memory cards. The new card initially will be available in 4GB and 8GB capacity sizes. The RIDATA 4GB SDHC card has a Speed Class rating of Class 2 and Class 6, the 8GB a Class 6. The new product will be on display in the Advanced Media 2007 International CES booth, South Hall 3 (Upper Level, S3) Booth 31573.

“The high-speed performance of our RIDATA SDHC card meets today’s demands for high resolution and high writing speed,” stated Harvey Liu, Advanced Media president. “Besides conforming to the latest SDA 2.0 specification, it also fully supports the Speed Class specification. Meeting these two new standards ensures stable product quality and excellent performance. The RIDATA SDHC card offers the best combination of large capacity and high-speed performance of any SD memory card currently being sold. It is, without question, the best choice for storing all kinds of data, including MP3 music files, high-definition photos, and video.”

SDHC is the newest SD memory card based on the SDA 2.0 specification, which enables SD cards to reach higher capacities, up to, potentially, 32GB. Because SDHC works differently than previous SD cards, the new format is not backwards compatible with legacy SD-format host devices. SDHC cards only work with SDHC compatible host devices. The RIDATA SDHC card is compatible with most every SDHC portable device in the market.

Accompanying this new specification are three levels of speed classes to help identify the speed and performance of SDHC cards. These Speed Class Ratings specify a minimum sustained write speed of 2MB/s for Class 2; 4MB/s for Class 4; and 6MB/s for Class 6.

While the SDHC card is the same physical size as standard SD cards, its storage capacity sizes begin where the SD’s end. The 4GB RIDATA SDHC card can store approximately 1240 1880 x 2160 pixels JPEG images; or roughly one-hour and 40-minutes of 704 x 480 pixels MPEG2 full-motion video; or about 19 hours of QVGA320 x 240 pixels MPEG4 15fps video; or around 68 hours/about 1000 songs of 128kbps audio.

The RIDATA SDHC flash memory card features CPRM copyright protection for optimal security and reliability, ECC auto-correction to correct data errors, and a firmware-update function that provides the latest firmware and flawless compatibility with future advanced equipment. Advanced Media backs the card with a life-long guarantee, ensuring problem-free usage.

The RIDATA SDHC flash memory card has an MSRP of 4GB is approximately $180.00/pc, 8GB is about $360.00/pc and will be available around middle of Dec. 2006. As with most other RIDATA products, it will be available through selected retailers, RIDATA distributors, and at various online outlets. A complete listing of locations may be found on the Advanced Media website, www.ritekusa.com.
