ADTRAN Wins VON Magazine Innovator Award
VON Magazine Recognizes ADTRAN’s NetVanta 1335 Wi-Fi Enabled Multiservice Access Router for Innovation
NORWOOD, Mass. & HUNTSVILLE, Ala.– ADTRAN, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADTN), a leading supplier of next-generation network solutions, today announced that it has received a 2008 VON Magazine Innovator Award, the foremost listing of innovative companies representing the future of the Internet Communications industry.
ADTRAN, a leader in networking and communications equipment, has been recognized throughout the industry for its innovative NetVanta line of networking and IP communications solutions. The NetVanta 1335 Multiservice Access Router is one of the newest additions to the NetVanta family. This is a unique device that integrates an IP access router, an 802.11 a/b/g wireless access point, 24 port Layer 2/3 Power over Ethernet (PoE) switch, firewall and Virtual Private Network (VPN) in a single platform. It also features RapidRoute technology, which delivers the enhanced performance necessary for IP communications when advanced services like Quality of Service (QoS), Network Address Translation (NAT) and firewall protection are enabled.
“The VON Magazine Innovator Awards recognize the Internet Communications industry’s best and brightest companies, and we are pleased to include ADTRAN as an inaugural winner,” said Bill Sell, Publisher, VON Media Group. “ADTRAN should take pride in its accomplishments, because the selection committee unanimously felt as though ADTRAN stood apart from the large field of companies that participated in the nomination process.”
“We are honored to be a recipient of the 2008 VON Magazine Innovator Award,” said Tim Saunders, vice president, product management, ADTRAN Enterprise Networks Division. “Our goal with the NetVanta 1335, which was also recently awarded The Tolly Group’s First & Foremost certification, was to simplify the deployment and ongoing support of our customers’ networking hardware, through the integration of all requirements — both wired and wireless — in a single, low cost platform.”
ADTRAN will feature the NetVanta 1335 along with the NetVanta 7100 IP Communications Platform and members of the NetVanta router, switch and IP Business Gateway families at Spring VON.x, March 18-19 in booth #229.
