SVS is going full Wagnerian opera at High End Munich 2025, taking over not one, but two dedicated demo “cabins”—because apparently one room just isn’t enough to contain all that bass and bravado. Cabin one is for the purist 2-channel crowd who still believe stereo is sacred. Both cabins will be showing and demonstrating the SVS Ultra Evolution speakers, 17-Ultra R|Evolution subwoofers, and 5000 R|Evolution subwoofers.
Cabin two? A full-blown home theater setup designed to shake the plaster off the Atrium walls. Either way, you’re getting the full SVS experience—loud, proud, and engineered to make sure nobody leaves without feeling the low end in their spine.
High End Munich 2025 marks the first time the unwashed masses outside the U.S. get to hear the new SVS Ultra Evolution speakers and 17-Ultra and 5000 R|Evolution subwoofers in the flesh. And no, they didn’t come to play it safe. Each system is meticulously designed to sonically uppercut anything remotely close in price—because value doesn’t mean compromise, at least not in SVS land.
With carefully curated music and movie demos (plus whatever songs attendees shout out in between bratwurst bites), SVS plans to flex every spec: imaging, bass extension, speed, clarity, and enough dynamic range to make your hairline retreat.
From Gary Yacoubian, SVS President: “SVS has always been about bringing reference experiences to broader audiences and HIGH END Munich 2025 will be the ultimate expression of that vision,….Our entire systems literally cost the same as some speaker cables at the show, and we aim to show that immersive, high-end sound is less about price and more about passion and innovation, which SVS delivers in spades.”
In true SVS fashion, it’s not all about sound—it’s also about the spectacle. Alongside the demo setups, SVS is rolling in its now-legendary subwoofer stacks: towering monoliths of low-frequency dominance stacked over seven feet high. Think Stonehenge for bass heads. These sealed and ported cabinet beasts aren’t just there to flex—they’ve become a pilgrimage site for selfies and social posts. And if that’s not enough, a PB17-Ultra R|Evolution cutaway will be on hand, spilling its internal guts for all to see. Because when SVS shows up, they don’t just talk performance—they show you what’s under the hood.
All speaker systems will be connected with SVS SoundPath Ultra Speaker Cables, HDMI Cables, and Subwoofer Cables.

SVS Ultra Evolution Speakers

The Ultra Evolution line is SVS’s new flagship speaker series, designed to reflect the brand’s core approach to loudspeaker engineering. With a focus on practical innovation and performance-driven design, these models introduce features like acoustically centered time alignment, diamond-coated aluminum dome tweeters, and a Force-Balanced woofer array. The result is a clean, dynamic sound that aims to push the category forward without blowing past a realistic price point.
SVS R|Evolution Subwoofers

With upgrades to SVS’s dual voice coil 15- and 17-inch drivers, new dual monoblock amplifiers, and a 295MHz DSP that’s the most advanced SVS has used to date, the 5000 and 17-Ultra R|Evolution Series subwoofers aim to deliver serious low-end authority with better control and customization. These updates offer a notable step forward in both performance and user experience, especially for listeners looking to dial in their bass with precision.
The Bottom Line
SVS isn’t just content rattling windows anymore—they’ve brought that same overachieving energy to their loudspeakers, and the Ultra Evolution line shows they mean business. Still, they haven’t forgotten where they came from. The new Ultra R|Evolution 17-inch subs remain a seismic event waiting to happen, while the more “neighbor-friendly” 5000 Series R|Evolution subs offer serious punch without threatening structural integrity.
For those making the pilgrimage to High End Munich 2025, you’ll find SVS in MOC, Hall 3, Booth P02/R01. Zwei cabins, massive sound, and more bass than a Berlin warehouse party—your listening experience awaits.

Wunderbar. American hi-fi people can actually afford for the win. It’s encouraging to see this. And he’s right…when cables cost more than a system…you have lost the plot.

SVS is a really good company. They have grown in the right way and not gone from affordable to $20,000 speakers which would have alienated their base. Smart. Now they just need some interesting colorways to attract a different type of buyer.
