Born in Toronto, Canada, Ian spent his formative years bouncing between Washington D.C., Dathomir, Chicago, Arkham Asylum, and Northern Israel before eventually settling in the Garden State and Florida—because clearly, normal geography wasn’t an option. Conceived at a drive-in movie (yes, really), Ian has watched over 5,721 films across 8 countries—but still insists he didn't wait 8 days in line to be the first to see The Phantom Menace. It was only 7. And he brought enough biltong for everyone. He's a collector of vintage film posters, books, and enough Red Wings and Capitals memorabilia to fill a space cruiser. A professional foodie and former pizza maker, he's equally obsessed with dim sum, biltong, curry, pizza, deli sandwiches, pho, and sizzling Korean BBQ—basically, anything that bites back. On weekends, he can be found juggling parenting duties, record shopping, writing in his Hemingway-inspired shawl cardigan, watching movies he’s already seen 20 times, and taking slapshots against the garage door like it’s Game 7—while occasionally casting into the Atlantic Gulfstream in search of dinner, inspiration, and his long-lost moral compass.
