The best-value, audiophile-quality Performance Series loudspeakers from Paradigm have been updated with a contemporary new look that includes stylish Brushed “Platinum” baffles designed to satisfy the trend for “Silver” in today’s home theater market, upscale detailing on matching kick plates, and elegantly curved, low-diffraction grilles. Performance speakers are still designed for smaller spaces and smaller budgets–typically customers entering the world of high-end audio for the first time.
Technical specifications remain untouched on this version of these award-winning loudspeakers. Drivers feature high-performance CMC Ceramic Metal Composite domes for spacious and transparent high-frequency presentation, no matter where you sit in the room. Ferro-fluid cooling ensures greater high-power handling, particularly important in meeting the demands imposed by today’s higher bandwidths. MPC Metallescent Polymer Cones teamed with large motor/magnet structures deliver very smooth and detailed midrange reproduction. Bass response is extraordinary–even in the tiny, award-winning Atom. Chassis configurations include die-cast baskets in the smaller models and GRIP glass-reinforced injection-molded polymer baskets in the larger speakers; both styles are exceptionally rigid to eliminate flexing and ringing.
