Broadway, Morph and Papillon Models Bring Aesthetics, Audio Quality and Engineering Excellence to a Broader Market

CES ’06, LAS VEGAS, Jan. 5, 2006 — A series of sleek, high-performance Elio Equipment Racks will be introduced at the 2006 International Consumer Electronics Show, beginning here today. The new Elios are available in three models — Broadway, Morph and Papillon — designed to serve the needs of a broader market for equipment supports at affordable prices without sacrificing quality or style.

Manufactured in the United States, Elio was created by acclaimed furniture designer and violin maker Murray Kuun. The series comprises a total of five distinctive units — three Broadways, one Papillon and one Morph — all created to handsomely accommodate a variety of Home Theater and audio/video systems with multiple components and large flat-panel displays.

Elio equipment supports are among the finest available, assigning equal emphasis to aesthetics, sound quality, and engineering excellence. Adjustment systems are built in, and as much attention is paid to their stylistic compatibility with contemporary interiors as to other aspects of the design. As a result, the Elios artfully integrate high-performance audio and video systems into modern interiors without compromising equipment performance or interior aesthetics.

Two of the three Broadway models are suitable for medium to large plasma- or LCD-based systems. They support a large flat-panel display monitor and center channel speaker plus five additional components on one rack and four on the other. The third Broadway model supports five components. All are supplied with 10mm-thick tempered glass shelves.

The Papillon and Morph models are also suitable for medium to large plasma- or LCD-based systems, with structures built to support the screen directly above a center-channel speaker and several additional components. The Papillion is equipped with two wide, 10mm-thick tempered glass shelves set atop a sturdy MDF base. The slightly smaller Morph is equipped with two wide, curvilinear MDF shelves, one of which serves as the base.

All employ an open architecture that makes the components they support almost seem to float. They are constructed using high-quality materials, including solid MDF, aluminum, steel, and heavy duty glass. The MDF elements are available in a variety of finishes.

The new Elio Equipment Racks are available now from authorized dealers and were seen in Booth 26700, South Hall, Las Vegas Convention Center, during the show.
