XM Satellite Radio to Sponsor Grand Concert at Home Entertainment 2005 Show to Benefit the Elf Foundation

New York, NY–April 4, 2005–The Home Entertainment Show, scheduled to take place in NYC April 28–May 1, is less than four weeks away! Throughout the Show, ticket holders can experience the finest consumer electronics and convergence products on the planet–PLUS enjoy a variety of live music performances by popular jazz, folk, rap, blues, and classical music recording artists.

A benefit concert sponsored by XM Satellite Radio will be held Friday, April 29, at 8:00 p.m. with a headline performance by improvisational jazz-funk ensemble Medeski Martin & Wood. Tickets to this special concert are available at www.mooreatix.com — proceeds to benefit the Elf Foundation (www.elfsystems.org).

Recently nominated for two Jammy awards, Medeski Martin & Wood offer up a unique brand of organ-trio jazz-funk. Keyboard player John Medeski, bass guitarist Chris Wood, and drummer Billy Martin are Brooklyn boys at heart, their 2004 album, End of the World Party, is considered their catchiest to date and was written entirely by the band and studio legend John King, of the Dust Brothers (Beck, Beastie Boys). To learn more, visit www.mmw.net.

The concert will also include a live auction of audio and video equipment donated by HE2005 Show exhibitors. The auction and concert proceeds will benefit the Elf Foundation, a non-profit charity that brings music and films to children experiencing extended stays in hospitals across the country.

Other musical performances are free with admission to HE2005 on the XM Cafe Stage. These performances include:
