WiiM isn’t wasting any time expanding its footprint in the smart-speaker arena. Hot on the heels of the original WiiM Sound, the new WiiM Sound Lite arrives as a stripped-down sibling aimed squarely at price-sensitive buyers who don’t need a touchscreen staring back at them. The pitch is simple: same size, same acoustic performance, same feature set — just without the 1.8-inch round display and without the bundled WiiM Voice Remote 2 Lite.
Everything else runs through the WiiM Home app, onboard controls, or your voice via Alexa or Google Assistant. It’s a cleaner, cheaper way to get into the WiiM ecosystem, and WiiM knows that’s exactly what a lot of consumers want.

Features
As a summary, here are the core features of the WiiM Sound Lite that it shares with the previously released WiiM Sound:
High-Resolution Wireless Streaming: Stream music, podcasts, Smart Presets, and radio in full 24-bit/192 kHz quality without keeping your phone locked to the speaker.
Connectivity: Built-in Wi-Fi 6E, Ethernet, and Bluetooth give you every modern wireless option, and there’s also a 3.5mm analog input for legacy sources.
Room Correction (AIRoomFit): WiiM’s room-tuning system measures your space and applies tailored corrections so the Sound Lite performs at its best in any environment.
Sound Customization: In addition to room correction, listeners can dial in the sound with 24 EQ presets, a 10-band graphic EQ, and a parametric EQ for deeper fine-tuning.

Stereo Pairing: Link two WiiM Sound speakers for true left/right stereo playback and a wider, more convincing soundstage.
Subwoofer Pairing: Add low-end authority by connecting the WiiM Sound to the upcoming WiiM Sub Pro for deeper, more controlled bass.
Home Theater Integration: Deploy the WiiM Sound as a surround or center channel in a Dolby 5.1 configuration to build a more immersive home cinema setup.
Universal Casting Support: Cast from virtually any major app using Chromecast, Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, DLNA, or Alexa Cast for a frictionless streaming experience.
WiiM Ecosystem: The WiiM Home app ties it all together—streaming control, voice commands, EQ adjustments, stereo or surround configuration, and whole-home audio live in one place.

The Bottom Line
WiiM knows exactly what it’s doing here. By shaving off the touchscreen and remote, the WiiM Sound Lite drops to a far more appealing $229, while keeping every core performance feature that actually matters: high-resolution streaming, room correction, analog input support, Wi-Fi 6E/Ethernet, full EQ control, and WiiM’s rapidly expanding ecosystem. Yes, it still skips AirPlay, HDMI-ARC, and any hope of a phono stage, but at this price—and with this feature density—it’s hard to argue with the value proposition.
The competitive landscape only sharpens the point. The KEF Coda W costs more and still can’t match the connectivity suite. The Denon Home 150 sits just above it at $249 with AirPlay and HEOS support, but doesn’t bring the same customization or next-gen wireless stack. For WiiM loyalists—and for anyone who wants serious capability without serious sticker shock—the Sound Lite hits the sweet spot where price, performance, and practicality finally meet.
