Vizio adds Quantum and Quantum Pro 4K QLED Smart TVs

Vizio simplifies its 2023 4K QLED TV line-up down to 5 new models, priced from $399 to $999 in 55, 65 and 75-inch screen sizes.

VIZIO Quantum Pro 4K QLED TV Front

Vizio has done a rather remarkable job becoming one of the most popular TV brands on Amazon and in Costco retail locations for the simple reason that their TVs offer good picture quality at an affordable price. Competition in the TV category from TCL and Hisense has forced Vizio to produce even better TVs with more features and consumers with more limited budgets get a better product as a result.

Its extensive 2023 TV lineup includes both 1080p and 4K UHD TVs debuted in mid-2022, despite being labeled as 2023 models. Today Vizio is adding two additional models: the Quantum (available now, starting at $399), and the Quantum Pro (available October 2023, starting at $699).

Quantum

VIZIO Quantum 4K QLED TV Front

Since the Quantum is available now, here are some of its key features:

Quantum Color: The Vizio Quantum is a QLED TV. This means that in between the LED backlight and LCD display panel is a layer of Quantum Dots to provide enhanced color performance.

Wide Viewing Angle: Vizio claims that when viewing off angle, there is less color and contrast loss than in many other LCD-based TVs.

Gaming Support: Gameplay at 4K/60Hz and 1080p/120Hz is supported. The 65 and 75-inch models are also AMD FreeSync Premium compatible.

Audio Settings: An integrated soundbar menu is provided when used with compatible Vizio Soundbars. Bluetooth Headphone support is also included.

Bluetooth Voice Remote: Use the buttons or voice commands to control the TV without having to be in the line of sight of the TV.

Thin Frame Design: Whether placed on a stand or mounted on a wall, the Quantum features a three-sided minimal ThinFrame design.

WiFi 6: This offers 4x better performance than WiFi 5.

Streaming: In addition to access to an extensive number of streaming services (Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Prime Video, etc.., Quantum also includes WatchFree+ which is Vizio’s free streaming option that includes over 260 free channels. Apple Airplay 2 and Chromecast are also built-in.

Quantum Pro

VIZIO Quantum Pro 4K QLED TV Front

The Vizio Quantum Pro includes all the operational and smart features of the Quantum, but also adds the following extras:

Light Output: The Quantum Pro is capable of displaying 1000 Nits of Peak Brightness and up to 700 Nits of full-screen brightness. This supports a more accurate display of HDR Content.

Full Array Local Dimming: This provides more precise control of brightness and contrast for specific objects within designated zones on the screen. This also makes deeper blacks possible.

Anti-Reflective Film: This reduces glare from lamps and windows which is often a problem with TVs.

All Angle Viewing: Vizio claims that the Quantum Pro has a wider viewing angle performance than the Quantum.

WiFi 6e: (WiFi 6 is great, but WiFi 6E extends into the 6GHZ band for uncluttered streaming and smart home device control.

VRR Support: Extends VRR Support to 4K/48 to 120HZ  and 1080p/28 at 240Hz. Support for AMD FreeSync Premium Pro is also included.

Dialog Enhancement: Whether using the TV’s built-in speakers or an external soundbar/audio system, Dialog Enhancement pushes vocal content front and center with better intelligibility.

Soundbar Mounting Attachment is provided for  all Quantum Pro  screen sizes

I am giving this the serious bidness looksee as I would like to upgrade my several year old Samsung curved 55″ to something new and demonstrably mo’ bettah…’n’ sheit.

However I will not purchase it from spAmazon, Waltmar or even Costmo’ (my wife and son belong to that place).

Best Buy. Because I like the people that work there and sometimes I just do not care for spAmazon.

Thank you for the heads up. I hope it is as impressive as it’s specialfications portend it to be.

This is still not available at Best Buy and so today I ordered a new Hisense 65″ U8K. I researched the TVs I could afford and the Hisense made sense and cents for me. I have had my Samsung Curved 55″ for years now and wanted to get the best new tech TV I could afford and that was in stock and the Hisense will be delivered in a week or so because I am too weak to pick it up and then set it up myself. I know. WhatAwimp!

I waited for the Vizio 65″ Quantum Pro but it still has not shown at Best Buy (where I primarily shop) and so I “settled” for this excellent TV.

I am certain it will be quite an improvement over my current set.
