Vidikron Expands its HD Projector Lineup

INDIANAPOLIS, IN — Sept. 26, 2005 — Vidikron has once again expanded its line of world-class video projectors with the introduction of the Vision Model 90 projector. This high-definition video display is designed to be the custom home theater designer’s complete solution to creating a private cinema that produces the finest film images using today’s most advanced video sources. With a three-chip DLP light engine and an MSRP of $19,995.00, no other projector offers the Model 90’s uncompromising image quality at its level of value.

“The Model 90 shares much of the advanced imaging capabilities we built into the Model 100, but it is specifically engineered to perform best in more traditional, dedicated viewing environments,” said Jim McGall, vice president of sales and marketing at Vidikron. “Its combination of imaging power and ability to integrate with virtually any theater components or home decor offers both ‘high-definition,’ and ‘high-performance.’ With the addition of the Model 90, our lineup of digital home cinema displays is among the most powerful and varied in the industry.”

The Vision Model 90 uses three DLP pixel arrays with 1280 x 720 resolution to produce its smooth and natural-looking film images while maintaining outstanding white field uniformity and a precise color palette. The projector also includes Vidikron’s exclusive Imagix video processing, which improves image quality even from standard video sources, and provides artifact-free scaling on higher-resolution formats.

Vidikron designed the Model 90 to allow installers to achieve the best performance possible even in highly customized theaters. The display is capable of exceeding the Imaging Science Foundation (ISF) industry standards for video fidelity and accurate gray scale tracking, which is critical to achieving true-to-life color and superior black and white performance. ISF’s standards enable installers to properly set up and calibrate the projector on a wide range of screen types and room conditions. Installers can also access advanced white balance and color gamut range controls so that the very best home theater image can be achieved, no matter what the source.

Further enhancing the Model 90’s flexibility is a selection of four precision lenses, which allow use with rooms and screens of widely varied size. Each offers ample electronic horizontal and vertical shift to correct on-screen sizing and centering. Also included are multiple discrete inputs, IntelliWide video processing, multiple aspect ratio control, two DVI (HDCP compliant) inputs, three IR triggers and an RS-232 interface for seamless integration with today’s latest automation control systems. The projector is available in Vidikron’s Classic White or stylish Graphite Gray cabinet.
