The warranty on drivers was extended from two years to five, the warranty on all amplifiers and electronics has been extended from two years to three years, and the warranty on full-range speakers remains the same at five years. This warranty covers all products purchased on or after January 1, 2007. Velodyne products are now backed by one of the strongest warranties in the industry.
Velodyne decided to offer this longer product warranty based in part on demonstrated results of MTBF (Mean Time Before Failure) torture testing that has yielded parts and design improvements resulting in longer predicted life than ever before. Velodyne’s customers are the beneficiaries of these improvements.
