This May, spectators from far and wide will be able to witness a new live music event in Sandwich, utilizing the stunning local architecture and providing a beautiful venue that compliments the acoustical sounds produced by the rich performances of the evening. Presented by the Urban Folk Organization, “Live from St. Mary’s” is a celebration of American influenced acoustic music and brings together many local and international artists to the Kent music scene.

Now a large multi-national company, TV One’s manufacturing and Research and Development teams have been firmly rooted in East Kent for over 20 years. “TV One has grown considerably over the last twenty years and although at times it has been necessary to re-locate to larger premises it has always been important to us to remain in the East Kent area.” Explains Steven Mattingly, Managing Director of TV One. “The majority of staff that work at TV One are local residents and as a company we pride ourselves in being able to give back to the local community, which includes our staff and their families, by sponsoring local events and charitable organisations.”

Though based in the UK, TV One has offices in Kentucky and Florida in the USA as well as Argentina in South America. Mattingly continues, “The Live from St. Mary’s concert looks set to be a great event and we are pleased to give our support. It’s Country, Blues and Roots music and its American links helps to promote cross-Atlantic friendships.”

Regarding TV One’s sponsorship of this event, UFO Director Lee Cornwall states, “To be working with a partner such as TV One is simply ideal. Not only are they a respected company and employer in the local community, their American parentage brings further authenticity to the event which will see world class artists from the US performing at this unique concert.”
