TERK Technologies Introduces the XMicro: The Smallest XM Satellite Radio Antenna on the Market

— New Antenna Features Sleek, Aerodynamic Design,
Delivers Maximum Signal Strength to All XM Vehicle Receivers —

Commack, NY, January 8, 2004 — TERK Technologies Corp., a leader in antenna technology and signal management solutions, today announced the introduction of its XMicro, an ultra-compact XM Satellite Radio antenna that easily mounts magnetically to any vehicle. The latest addition to TERK’s industry-leading XM antenna line, XMicro delivers the standard-setting performance that TERK customers demand, combined with a low profile, inconspicuous design.

While most roof-mount XM Radio antennas have a bulky appearance, the TERK XMicro is the most compact XM Radio antenna available — less than a half-inch tall, with a sleek, aerodynamic design that hugs the roof of any vehicle without attracting attention.

Brad Borders, Product Manager, TERK Technologies, pointed out: “The XMicro truly offers consumers the best of both worlds — superior XM Satellite Radio reception combined with an almost invisible profile.” Borders continued, “The XMicro continues TERK Technologies’ commitment to offering satellite radio antennas that combine unmatched performance and pacesetting design.”

To ensure best-quality reception at all times, the XMicro utilizes a dual-mode, ultra-high-gain design. This design captures signals from both XM Radio satellites and terrestrial (ground-based) repeaters, to virtually assure continuous coverage. Though ultra-compact — the smallest antenna ever to receive XM certification — the XMicro’s high-tech, miniaturized antenna elements provide high-quality performance, while taking up a minimum of space.

Complementing its top-quality performance, the TERK XMicro is extremely easy to install. Its built-in magnets make it effortless to mount the XMicro on a vehicle’s roof, and the antenna is supplied with 23 feet of thin, flexible cable that can be easily routed and hidden from view. In common with every TERK antenna, the XMicro comes with everything needed to complete an XM Satellite Radio antenna installation. The XMicro is fully compatible with older dual-input XM Radio tuners with the use of the optional XM splitter (model XM-SP).

The TERK XMicro carries a suggested retail price of $29.95 and is currently shipping.
