Why wouldn’t they include an HDMI input? It would make a better alternative to the Fives by Klipsch.

Or add an HDMI input to their wireless soundbase to make a better alternative to the NAD 3045?

Really these days we got all the apps we need in AppleTV and the like. We just want to plug out tv to via HDMI ARC to something better than a soundbar. We don’t need a gazillion RCA, optics or what have you: just HDMI.

      Jeff,

I agree. Most of the people who will buy this will use it in the context of a audio/video system and an eARC setup would have made the most sense.

        Ian,

I realized after the fact my comment was only focusing on the negative and I apologize. I should have added: your review is exciting and informative. Even putting eArc aside, it still looks like a fantastic system I would be thrilled to own.

          Jeff,

No need to apologize. I think you raised a valid point.

I purchased the Prime Wireless speakers, loved the build quality and the sound, but the Play-Fi app was so bad I sent the speakers back. Could have used a remote as well so that you could control the sound from across the room if, like me, setting up for music only.

      Ed,

That is a major flaw with a lot of wireless speakers. Very poorly designed apps. We see it with wireless earbuds as well. All of that money and you need to wait for 3 firmware updates to get everything to work.

Sorry to hear about your experience because SVS does make a really solid product.
