Stealth Acoustics B22 Invisible Subwoofer - Front

Stealth Acoustics has just unveiled the model B22 compact subwoofer as the 6th in its line of completely invisible audio solutions. The B22 was designed specifically to work in conjunction with the ever-popular FX6, FX8 and AX3 to create a more full-range and dynamic listening experience in the home, office, or anywhere distributed audio systems are desired all while remaining completely invisible.

The B22 uses an eight inch woofer driver mounted in the popular 22″ frame, giving the speaker the compact footprint of the FX8 and the tooth-rattling capability of the B1630. With frequency range extending down to 25 Hz, this speaker will be a tremendous compliment to the FX6 and the FX8 when used as a distributed audio system. Retail priced at $500 per pair this speaker has the potential to save dealers time and money on the installation, while helping to provide jaw-dropping sound from every room in the home.

“The B22 is a great compliment to any of our current speak- ers. It’s going to give our dealers a lot more freedom when it comes to designing whole house audio. Roughly half the weight and size of our current sub – the B1630, it will be easier to install, and power. This is going to help take the sound of our most popu- lar distributed audio speakers (the FX6s and FX8s) to the next level.” – Paul Hagman, President of Stealth Acoustics

Perfect for Full Range, Whole House Audio
The Stealth Acoustics model B22 is a compact subwoofer speaker system designed to provide bass frequency enhancement in speaker systems by replacing a segment of sheetrock wallboard in a standard wall or ceiling, becoming completely invisible after installation. Ideal for any surround sound, foreground music or whole-house audio system that needs extra bass output, each B22 panel incorporates an acoustically coupled, high-quality, high-power 8″ cone woofer. Normally shipped in pairs, a two-panel system approach allows each panel to be placed wherever they perform best, free of visual concerns that may conflict with architectural features. The panels may be utilized in pairs for stereo applications or individually for monaural output.

Using acoustic lever principals, the B22 provides exceptional bass output from 30Hz to 150Hz by trading off excursion for surface area to propagate bass waveforms. Each B22 panel has 228 square inches of active area for a total of 456 square inches when both panels are adjacently mounted. Excursion is so slight it is invisible under most conditions, completely eliminating concerns of vibration affecting the final panel finish.

Quality Construction
Each B22 panel is designed to attach directly to standard structural framing without the need for special mounting brackets. The B22 comes equipped to match either 1/2″ or 5/8″ wallboard installations. The paintable active diaphragm face is a structurally modified three-layer composite, consisting of two layers of graphics grade paper with a foam core. The diaphragm face is bonded to a solid frame creating an active area surrounded by a stable mounting area. The edges of the panel are tapered similar to the edges of gypsum wallboard, providing room necessary for the normal wallboard tape and joint compound used to feather the speaker seamlessly into the wall. On-site finishing options include latex paint, covering with light wallpaper, fabrics, selected texture coats or select veneers. There is no need for special or nonstandard wallboard finishing materials to finish the panel face.
