Wireless Multi-Room Streaming and Handheld Control of SIRIUS Everywhere in the Home

SIRIUS Satellite Radio (Nasdaq: SIRI) and Sonos, Inc., the leading developer of wireless multi-room music systems for the digital home, today announced the release of Sonos System Software v 2.3 that will bring “The Best Radio on the Internet” from SIRIUS to the digital home via the award-winning Sonos Digital Music System. The companies have collaborated to provide SIRIUS subscribers with an exciting new way to wirelessly stream SIRIUS all over the house and control it all from the palm of their hand.

The Sonos Digital Music System provides SIRIUS subscribers with a convenient way to enjoy their favorite SIRIUS music, talk, and sports programming in every room. By simply connecting Sonos to a broadband Internet connection, SIRIUS subscribers can instantly access more than 80 SIRIUS channels, including 100% commercial-free music channels. Plus, Sonos connects users with SIRIUS’ exclusive and compelling talk channels including Howard Stern, Martha Stewart Living Radio, Cosmo Radio, MAXIM Radio, Play-boy Radio, SIRIUS Football Radio, four different comedy channels, and more.

Sonos connects directly to SIRIUS Internet Radio, eliminating the need for an antenna, satellite radio hardware, or even a PC. This provides SIRIUS subscribers with their first broadband-delivered, PC-free solution designed specifically for home use. With the Sonos Controller in hand, SIRIUS radio lovers simply pick a room, pick a channel and hit play–in up to 32 rooms. As part of the out-of-the-box experience, Sonos customers will automatically receive a free, no hassle 30-day trial to SIRIUS Internet Radio.

“Working with innovators such as Sonos is important to our ongoing strategy of delivering our content beyond the car,” said Mel Karmazin, Chief Executive Officer, SIRIUS. “We are determined to provide our subscribers with compelling and easy-to-use solutions to access our content anywhere they go, including anywhere in their home.”

“We are committed to helping our customers enjoy the entire universe of music and audio entertainment in the home. With SIRIUS, we are thrilled to deliver ‘the best radio on the Internet’ all over the house,” said John MacFarlane, Chief Executive Officer, Sonos, Inc. “Unlike most other consumer electronics, our software updates keep making the Sonos Digital Music System better and better over time.”

SIRIUS Satellite Radio subscribers can upgrade to premium SIRIUS Internet Radio for $2.99 per month to receive premium audio quality streams via Sonos. For those who are not current SIRIUS subscribers, but who want it in their home with Sonos, a premium SIRIUS Internet Radio subscription can be purchased for $12.95 per month. SIRIUS via Sonos is only available in the United States.
