Sonance Introduces Symphony Series Home Theater Left/Right/Center in-wall speaker

386608.jpg

San Clemente, CA–September 6, 2007–Sonance, the originator and still the acknowledged leader of the in-wall loudspeaker category, will introduce a new member to its widely praised Symphony family of loudspeakers at the 2007 CEDIA Show in Denver, Colorado. The new Symphony S623LCR is a compact, horizontal dual-woofer two-way speaker that can be used as a Left, Right, Center, or all three for front-channel home-theater installation, providing a perfect visual and sonic match to other Symphony models.

Incorporating the same drivers as the Symphony S623T and S623TR but a traditional dual woofer/single tweeter home theater speaker format, the S623LCR makes an ideal center-channel counterpart for any Symphony Series left and right channel speaker pair in small or medium–sized home theater systems. And by using the S623LCR in all three front-channel positions (left, center and right)
and other Symphony Series speakers as surround channels, an exceptionally high-performance home theater system can be assembled.

Sonance high-output carbon-fiber woofers, and Ferrofluid-cooled tweeter ensure clean, dynamic, high-impact reproductions from even the most demanding soundtracks and music recordings. What’s more, a three-position tweeter-level control (±3 dB), conveniently located on the front-baffle behind the grille, makes fine-tuning system response to room acoustics, furnishings, or customer tastes, a snap. And like its Symphony siblings, the S623LCR includes a snap-out plug to accommodate and optional behind-the-grille infrared sensor, such as Sonance’s OptilinQ SMR1 or SMRP1 IR receivers, to create intuitive, invisible, front-of-room control.

Installation is quick and easy with the Sonance proprietary RotoLock mounting system–exclusive FastMount tabs hold the speaker secured in the mounting hole during installation, allowing the installer to pick up tools or other items. The S623LCR is designed to fit between standard 16″ on-center studs, and requires a cutout just 7-1/16 x 14-1/2 inches, and just 3-7/8 inches of mounting depth.

Finish: The S623LCR is available in a paintable white finish with perforated-aluminum grille.
