Sangoma NetBorder Express Ups Ante for VoIP Gateways
–New Sangoma Gateway Cards Provide Superior Building Blocks
for Communication Platforms–
TORONTO, CANADA — (Sept. 17, 2008) — Sangoma Technologies Corporation (TSXV: STC), the premium provider of software-centric media and signal processing hardware, today announced its newest product line, NetBorder Express VoIP Gateway Cards.
Sangoma’s award-winning telephony cards together with this new set of software building blocks deliver a robust SIP to TDM VoIP Gateway solution. Integrators and developers can use NetBorder Express on their communications platforms for SIP-based applications such as iPBX, IVRs, and Conferencing Servers.
The NetBorder Express solution is unique as the gateway card can reside in the same server as the developer’s application. Also, the installer, configuration, and management interfaces can easily be integrated to deliver a single, tightly-coupled solution, as opposed to two or more solutions “glued” together.
“When developers need to incorporate VoIP gateway functionality on their next generation platforms, they are faced with two choices: to buy an off-the-shelf gateway, which works well but will not provide a tight level of application integration, or to develop their own, which will be very costly in R&D and remove focus from application development,” said Frederic Dickey, Director of Product Management for the NetBorder product line. “Sangoma’s NetBorder Express Gateway Cards provide customers the best of both worlds — a ready to use gateway, which also easily integrates with the customers’ applications.”
“We didn’t need to go to any other vendors for sales, support, or integration,” said Michael Fried, owner of Friedom-Tech. “We used pbxnsip together with a Sangoma NetBorder Express Gateway Card, and I was extremely impressed with the level of functionality and support at a very attractive price point for our customers.”
NetBorder Express Gateway Cards include Telco-grade, hardware echo cancellation. Customers can purchase up to eight spans on a single board and can put multiple boards in a server.
NetBorder Express 1.6 is available now for Windows with T1/E1 interfaces. Analog and BRI interfaces are planned, as is a Linux version of the software.
If you already own a Sangoma T1/E1 card with hardware echo cancellation, you can download a trial version of the software from the Sangoma web site at: www.sangoma.com/nbe_trial/.
