In April, we reported on the release of Samsung’s 2023 midrange QLED TV lineup, but one model that wasn’t available at that time was the 98-inch 98Q80C.
However, it’s now June and Samsung has not only added this model to the mix but is running a pre-order promotion (more on that at the end of this article).
Feature Rundown
For more details on what Samsung’s QLED TV models offer (which includes the Q80C series), refer back to our previous report linked at the top of this article, but here is a brief summary for your consideration.
- The 98Q80C is an LCD-based TV that incorporates LED backlighting in combination with a Quantum Dot layer to enhance color and a 4K UHD resolution LCD display panel.
- 4K upscaling is provided by Samsung’s Neural Quantum Processor
- Support for the HDR10/10+ and HLG HDR formats (Samsung TVs don’t support Dolby Vision)
- The onboard sound system includes Dolby Atmos, Object Tracking Sound Lite, and support for Q-Symphony 3.0.
- The Samsung Smart Hub provides easy access to an abundance of streaming services and apps.
- Within the Smart Hub, Samsung TV Plus provides over 1,900 channels in addition to streaming services and apps.
- Samsung Smart Things is also included. This provides connectivity with compatible smart home devices.
- The Samsung Gaming Hub provides with support for nearly 3,000 games from several gaming services. You don’t need an external gaming console to play.

The 98-inch Samsung QLED 4K Smart TV (2023 model) is available for $7,999.99 and Samsung is offering early bonuses:
