Richardson Named New Director of Sales to take Auralex Acoustics to the Next Level

ATLANTA, GA — Auralex Acoustics, Inc., is pleased to announce Karen Richardson as its new Director of Sales. Richardson, an industry veteran, has extensive experience in multiple sales channels. Richardson will lead Auralex in expanding the company’s presence in the CEDIA market as well as maintaining its position as the leader in sound control in the pro audio, MI and commercial installation markets. She will be in attendance at this year’s CEDIA show (Booth 1317).

Richardson’s broad experience includes the position of National Sales Manager for Home Theater products for Genelec OY, VP of Consumer Sales for Bryston and Accounts Specialist for Parasound Products. Just prior to joining Auralex, Richardson held the position of President of the ASL Group, a distributor of upscale home audio brands, where her responsibilities included expanding ASL’s dealer base into the custom install channel.

“Karen’s professional experience in both the CEDIA and our core markets makes her the perfect addition to Auralex’s executive team,” says Eric Smith, founder and president of Auralex Acoustics. “I am confident that her extensive market and sales knowledge will help Auralex further strengthen its position in the evolving marketplace.”

“I’m very excited about joining such a great company and recognizable brand,” says Richardson. “My goal in this position is to provide Auralex with a strategic sales and marketing effort to better serve its core customers and explore new business opportunities in the existing channels that Auralex serves, as well as additional channels. I look forward to developing exciting new initiatives that will further cement our position as the industry leader in sound control.”

Richardson has also been involved in numerous industry organizations such as CEDIA’s Manufacturers Council, CEA as Chair of the High Performance Audio Board, and Secretary Treasurer of the Audio Engineering Society’s San Francisco chapter.
