Qsonix Releases New Software, Version 2.48

Qsonix announces its music management systems now include a premium, web-based remote control interface for iPhone™ / iTouch™ devices in their newest 2.48 software version released this week. This interface supports complete library browsing and queuing as well as basic playlist management.

The flexible interface can be accessed two ways. One approach is to simply direct the user’s iPhone / iTouch Safari browser to the IP address of your Qsonix system. The second way is to employ the auto discovery feature. The user points to the Qsonix web address provided, and his or her iPhone / iTouch automatically locates their Qsonix system by serial number, giving them instant control. Connection and use could not be simpler.

The remote interface features independent control of all four outputs and individual playlists. Users enjoy a seamless, wireless experience in the familiar Qsonix full-color, dynamic menus that offer complete browsing and playback capabilities and operation similar to the built-in iTunes remote interface. It’s so easy. Users can browse and play music from their Qsonix music library by album, artist, genre, year, search or playlist. They can manage every available current play queue with all the freedom, convenience and simplicity of using their iPhone or iTouch touchscreen.

In addition to the major iPhone / iTouch feature introduction, Qsonix offers numerous other improvements to the Version 2.48 system software. System integrators and dealers will appreciate significant enhancements to the RS232 serial integration protocol and the addition of a TCP/IP (IP) communications layer, enabling them to deliver sophisticated automation and remote control solutions to their clients. Other V2.48 improvements include the ability to search-by-track titles in the MusicGiants Store; improved handling of the MusicGiants shopping cart system; system verification of the internet connection before entering the MusicGiants store; and concierge import verification for non-DRM protected tracks.

The latest Qsonix software enhancements confirm the company’s commitment to continued development of the best user experience in the industry and establish the Q110 V2.48 as the most powerful and user-friendly music management system on the market.

“We are so excited about our new iPhone / iTouch remote capabilities,” said Mike Weaver, President of Qsonix. “Our customers now have the affordable advantage of using or adding these popular devices to deliver a powerful and highly capable wireless remote control option.”

The new V2.48 software upgrade is provided via our automatic Internet update system at no additional charge to all existing Qsonix clients and has already begun shipping on all new systems.
