PSB SubSeries 150 Subwoofer

PSB SubSeries 150 Subwoofer

PSB Speakers announced SubSeries 150, a compact, high performance $500 subwoofer designed for multiple placement options around the home. Its low-profile, gloss black cabinet can be wall mounted, stood vertically or placed face up under furniture such as a sofa, chair or bed.

Despite this sub’s compact size and modest price, the company says it delivers clear, powerful deep bass. Along with ingenious PSB engineering, the sub’s remarkable performance is due in part to a custom-designed 6 ½” woofer with polypropylene cone and high temperature voice coil with a vented pole piece. Driving that is a robust 100-watt continuous amplifier with 200-watts of dynamic power at peak output.

PSB SubSeries 150 Subwoofer Flat

Weighing in at little more than 13 lbs, the SubSeries 150 measures a mere 17 1/8” wide by 10 7/8” high and 3 7/8” deep. The compact dimensions and low-profile, rectangular shape of the new PSB sub allow it to be placed where traditional subwoofers could not dream of going. Finished in a rich gloss black, the sub can be placed beside, behind or even underneath furniture such as a chair, sofa or bed. It can be hiding in plain sight or concealed altogether.

PSB SubSeries 150 Subwoofer Side

As an additional solution, the SubSeries 150 can also be mounted on virtually any wall in the home. For ease of mounting installation, the sub comes supplied with a convenient mounting bracket to make the job simple and secure.

For added convenience, the sub includes Auto On/Standby and top-mounted controls for volume, crossover and Variable Phase from 0-180°. In Standby mode, power consumption is rated to be below 0.5w so need to constantly turn the sub on and off.
