Offers visceral bass performance in a compact enclosure for space-conscience home theater installations
Pro Audio Technology (PRO) recently released the LFC-10sm subwoofer, a compact, high-output low-frequency speaker ideal for size-constrained home theater installations or larger systems featuring multi-subwoofer configurations.
The LFC-10sm subwoofer enclosure measures only 14 x 26 x 12 inches, which allows it to be easily located within cabinetry, or even placed discretely in-room. Surprisingly, PRO claims maximum output levels greater than 110dB.
PRO equipped the LFC-10sm with a sophisticated 10-inch woofer featuring a highly rigid glass-fiber reinforced diaphragm driven by a massive magnet, and an over-sized surround for extra-long linear excursion. The subwoofer’s over-sized, front-firing free-flow port also enhances the LFC-10sm’s low-frequency extension and output, while giving integrators much more freedom in terms of cabinet or room placement.
Additional installation flexibility is provided by PRO’s PMA digital processor / amplifier, which delivers either 450 or 1000 watts of power depending on the installation needs, and provides a fully DSP optimized signal to the sub. The PMA power source also allows for in-room performance calibration via a powerful suite of controls, including parametric EQ and delay.
