Platinum Series HDMI Cable by Ethereal Ready for 1440p

HOLLY HILL, FLA., FEBRUARY 8, 2008: Ethereal Home Theater introduces the next generation of HDMI cable with its Platinum Series PL-HDM2, designed to enable full delivery of the upcoming 1440p resolution that will revolutionize the viewing experience.

Introduced at the 2008 International CES, the PL-HDM2 carries more data across its conductors than any previous HDMI cable and produces an extremely clear eye pattern.
Eye patterns — the readout of a testing procedure — represent frequency response, timing, inductive and capacitive reactance and gain. A high-speed digital interface that doesn’t produce a robust eye pattern indicates poor performance that compromises the quality of the image on the display.

The PL-HDM2 has twice the amount of silver content as Ethereal’s EXS Silver Series HDMI cable. Both series have PCOCC conductors, which improves performance because of their low electric resistance and high conductivity. The premium-quality materials and construction continue with a braided shield, double-sided copper foil/Mylar shield, and two single-sided shields. A chrome head provides the high-end platinum look. Measuring a substantial 23 AWG, the PL-HDM2 is available in a 2 meter length.

Sold in a case that has a sleek, aluminum-like finish, the PL-HDM2 truly lives up to its platinum status with performance that establishes new expectations of excellence.
