If you listen to vinyl, you are painfully aware of the consequences from improper turntable set-up. Turntable isolation is very important to achieving the best possible level of playback quality and that’s even more important to vinyl listeners using turntables that are not big on mass or that use spring suspensions.
My restored Thorens turntables from Vinyl Nirvana are quite susceptible to vibration and footfalls and I have both on very heavy isolation platforms. Both of those platforms from IsoAcoustics are very expensive and overkill for tables in the $300 – $800 range.
