Pacific Life Open Tennis Tournament Features Broadcast of Matches on Runco Plasmas Installed by RNX International

INDIAN WELLS, CA. — March 4, 2005 — As the Tennis Garden at Indian Wells, California welcomes 300,000 fans to the March Pacific Life Open, custom entertainment system designer RNX International is raising the “wow” factor. The design and installation firm is giving fans at the Garden a way to keep track of every lob and volley: by installing a network of Runco International plasma panels throughout the grounds. Attendees can watch each match play out in stunning high-definition as the monitors broadcast the action in various areas throughout the park, including the Club Suites, Charter Club Suites, the Pacific Life Suite, and the Garden Club’s private dining area. Fans can also experience Runco’s high-def monitors at a dedicated RNX International tent located on the grounds of the Tennis Garden compound. The Pacific Life Open runs from March 7 — 20.

“For over 15 years, RNX International has brought technological innovation to Southern California’s home theaters. At the Pacific Life Open, we’ll show tennis fans the benefits of cutting-edge video,” said Jon Duncan, president and CEO of RNX International. “We’ve built our reputation by using only the best products available, so it is with great pride that we install this collection of Runco International plasmas to share the high-definition experience with the audience at the Pacific Life Open. Runco’s performance makes it clear why the company holds the motto, ‘The World’s Finest Home Theater Products.’ ”

“Some of the attendees to the Pacific Life Open are customers of RNX International, and are familiar with the firm’s work. For those who have never before experienced the thrill of high-definition by Runco International, RNX will give an outstanding introduction,” commented Bob Hana, president of Runco International. “Every year, the Pacific Life Open attracts a terrific audience, and they are what have given the tournament its long and prestigious tradition. Runco International is very proud to be a part of this event.”

The Pacific Life Open is one of the elite international sporting events in the world today, and has attracted tennis fans to the Coachella Valley since it began in 1976. In 2004, the Open attracted over 267,000 fans in its newly expanded field of more than 250 of the world’s top-ranked men’s and women’s tennis stars. After nearly thirty years, the Open lasts a full two weeks and has become a highly sought-after title by its participating athletes.
