MusicGiants Sets Music Industry Milestone With First Digital Release Of A New Album In True CD Quality Before Availability In Stores

NEIL YOUNG’S “LIVING WITH WAR” NOW AVAILABLE FROM THE MUSICGIANTSHD MUSIC STORE IN WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER 10

INCLINE VILLAGE, NV; May 3, 2006…MusicGiants, the leader in HD music downloads, today set a milestone by becoming the first music download service to release a new album in true CD quality sound ahead of the general release date of the album in stores. MusicGiants is now offering Neil Young’s new album, “Living With War” (Reprise), in the highest sound quality of any music download service providing early availability of the album. The CD is scheduled to go on sale in stores next week.

“Neil greatly appreciates the importance of high sound quality for his music, and MusicGiants is the only service offering true CD quality sound for this early release via the Internet,” said Elliot Mazer, Young’s long time producer, who first worked with Young in 1971 on the legendary “Harvest” album.

MusicGiants offers downloads in the Windows Media Audio Lossless format, at up to seven times the sound quality of ordinary music downloads. The company recently announced the availability of the MusicGiants HD Music Store in the Windows Media Player 10, making HD music purchases available to the more than 300 million users of Windows Media Player 10.

“Neil Young is one of the defining artists of our time, and he’s come out with another thought provoking work,” said Scott Bahneman, CEO, MusicGiants. “This is an important music industry milestone for those who want to hear downloaded music as it was meant to be heard, in true CD quality sound. MusicGiants is the only place to find it.”

According to the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI), worldwide digital music sales grew to $1.1 billion in 2005, an almost three-fold increase over the previous year ($380 million).
