Marantz to Demonstrate Systems at Audio Karma Fest

Sixth Annual Audio Karma Fest Takes Place May 2-3

Marantz America, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of advanced home entertainment solutions, today announced it will provide attendees of the sixth annual Audio Karma Fest (May 2-3, Livonia, Michigan) with live demonstrations of its ultimate-quality audio products, including systems featuring components from its critically acclaimed Reference Series as well as additional high-performance home theater gear. All Marantz components demonstrated at Audio Karma Fest reflect the company’s commitment to providing discriminating consumers with exciting new solutions for expanding and enhancing their home entertainment enjoyment, including today’s advanced high-resolution audio and video formats.

Marantz’ luxury home theater showcase will take place in the Diplomat Ballroom, featuring an ultimate-quality home theater system driven by the company’s award-winning AV8003 networking preamplifier (SRP: $2,599.99) and two MM8003 power amplifiers ($2,399.99 each). Content for the demonstration will be provided by the BD7003 Blu-Ray player ($549.99), projected through the VP-11S2L front projector (SRP: $17,999.99) with its accompanying LN9103M motorized anamorphic lens (SRP: $9,999.99).

Notably, the attendees of Audio Karma will be the first in the United States to get a “sneak-peak” of Marantz’s forthcoming flagship Blu-Ray player, the UD9004 (SRP: $5,999.99). Featuring universal compatibility (CD, SACD, DVD Audio and Video and of course Blu-Ray discs), the UD9004 will play virtually any 12cm digital audio or digital video disc ever created. Other notable features include Profile 2.0, Dual HDMI outputs (user selectable for the purest audio and video signal transmission), Internal decoding of Dolby True HD and DTS HD Master Audio, 7.1 analog outputs including Balanced Outputs for the left and Right channels, Copper encased Toroidal Power Transformer, short signal paths, extensive shielding as well as a dedicated audio section that is based on the award winning Marantz SA-7S1 SACD player. Scheduled for release in the summer of 2009, the UD9004 will combine truly universal compatibility with world-class performance.

At Audio Karma Fest Marantz will also demonstrate the ultimate in luxury audio performance with its flagship two-channel Reference System in Room 355, consisting of two MA-9S2 monaural power amplifiers (SRP: $7,999.99 ea.) and an SC-7S2 preamplifier (SRP: $7,999.99 ea.) along with content provided by the ultimate-quality SA-7S1 SACD/CD Player (SRP: $6,999.99). Marantz will also have other Reference gear on static display such as the PM-11S2, SA-11S2 as well as the TT-15S1 Turntable.

For maximum performance, Marantz theater components at Audio Karma Fest will be showcased in systems featuring the following “no compromise” Snell loudspeakers: the C7 tower, IC C7 in-cabinet loudspeaker, SR30 satellite and Sub24mk3 subwoofer.
