Loewe announced its new Art LED LCD HDTVs in 32-inch, 40-inch and 46-inch screen sizes. In addition to its sophisticated exterior, the new television line provides a captivating interior of functions and technical innovations, coupled with maximum convenience.
Convenient technology
The high-class LED panel, with 200Hz picture quality in the 40 inch and 46 inch models, ensures excellent motion reproduction with maximum precision and sharpness and is at the centre point of the image technology. Meanwhile, Edge LED backlighting guarantees outstanding contrast values.
The Art LED also cuts a fine figure in terms of multimedia. For the first time, photos, videos and music from the home network or from a local USB storage device can be conveniently accessed with the Art family too, using the new Loewe MediaHome media portal. This makes it possible to view holiday photos from a PC hard disk or music videos stored on a USB stick in full size and quality on the television screen.
In addition, the new Loewe MediaNet provides convenient access to online content on the DR+ models. MediaNet allows Internet videos to be viewed, Internet radio to be listened to, and a huge selection of further Internet content to be accessed — all quickly and easily. And all this can be operated intuitively — at the touch of just a few buttons on the remote control. The new design of the user interface, with its clear menu layout, means that benefitting from this range of functions is child's play.
Ready for Loewe MediaText
A particular highlight of the new Art LED DR+ is Loewe MediaText. With this new function, Loewe has integrated both the most stylish and convenient videotext of all time, based on HbbTV technology. This is a Europe-wide standard — already offered by some broadcasters in Germany — with which Loewe, via MediaText, is assuming a pioneering role. This makes the Art LED DR+ particularly future-proof. An additional bonus for this future-proofing is the CI+ interface, of which the Art LED has two already. MediaText will be available as a free software update from the end of 2010.
Attractive exterior
The Art LED's design by Phoenix Design means that Loewe has been able to reference design elements from the successful Loewe Spheros and Loewe Art SL models. Despite additional integrated functions, the televisions have become even slimmer. And with dimensions of under 80 cm wide in the 32 inch, for example, or 100 cm in the 40 inch model, the design remains perfect for integration in units. Harmonious integration into the living environment is facilitated by the choice of three attractive colour options: exquisite High Gloss Black, high-tech Chrome Silver, or the new, comfortably warming, Mocha. Loewe also offers a wide selection of individual options when it comes to set-up solutions. From the Table Stand, and its rotating stand with adjustable incline, to the equally flexible Floor Stand and the VESA wall mounts — there's the perfect solution for any situation. And what's more, the support for the wall mount is already integrated in the rear of the housing.
Outstanding sound
And this design icon certainly won't disappoint in terms of sound, either. Elaborately constructed, closed two-way speakers are a treat for the ears, delivering precise treble, a clear midrange, and powerful bass. All models are equipped with Dolby Digital Plus. The 40 and 46 inch versions, like all Art LED televisions with Loewe DR+, also have integrated AC3 and dts. A music performance of 2 x 20 watt stereo power plus 40 watt for the low frequency range ensures a clear, powerful sound. Upgrading with other Loewe Audio components is possible at any time due to full compatibility.
Environmentally friendly
Environmental friendliness and the sustainable use of resources were key considerations in the design of the Art LED. The Art LED therefore contains no lead or mercury. The LED backlighting helps to maintain energy consumption at the low level expected nowadays. The OPC power management function optionally adapts the brightness of the display to the ambient light in order to further reduce power consumption. That's why power consumption in stand-by mode is 0.4 watt. It also goes without saying that Loewe products have been equipped with power shut-off switches for years now, guaranteeing real 0 watt consumption.
