New LibertyLinx Composite Cables Provide Installer-Friendly Solutions for Vast Array of Command, Control and Communication Challenges

CEDIA EXPO, DENVER, CO., Sept. 14, 2006– Liberty Wire & Cable, worldwide supplier of a broad range of wire and cable products for the audio/video trade, including custom installers and systems integrators, introduces a new series of LibertyLinx Control Cables at the Custom Electronic Design and Installation Association (CEDIA) Expo 2006, beginning here today.

Liberty’s new state-of-the-art cables optimize the performance of almost any wire-based control system available, easing the path toward installing highly effective command, control and communication systems. Designed and built to the highest engineering standards, the LibertyLinx cables seamlessly integrate into residential, commercial and SOHO installation environments.

Their variety and quality make them perfect solutions for a vast array of installation challenges, including adding lanes to an information superhighway, establishing audio/video and data distribution runs, balancing audio and video signals, meeting bi-directional needs, enabling broadband dual-DSS distribution, communicating between zones, controlling Web browsers remotely, operating window treatments, and serving the wiring needs of touch panels, control systems, home automation cabinets, networked devices, video projectors, security cameras, and much more.

The series includes LibertyLinx Standard Control Cable, LibertyLinx Standard Plenum Control Cable, LibertyLinx-CR Control Cable, LibertyLinx-D Control Cable, LibertyLinx-Q Control Cable, LibertyLinx-QM-Plenum Control Cable and LibertyLinx Specialized Control Cable.

Each cable is constructed with an abrasion resistant outer jacket, helping it glide over nail tips and splinters, and making it extremely easy-to-pull in any installation. The cables also feature a distinctive identification stripe that visually stands out in wood and metal framing. Some of the new cables are available in PVC as well as plenum jackets.

The control cables are designed to streamline installations while saving companies both time and money – maintaining the Liberty Advantage. They can be used, for example, to connect HDTV, broadband Internet, home networking, line-level audio, RS-232, and projector control systems without pulling multiple runs.

LibertyLinx cables are also designed to work flawlessly with both Liberty’s ConnecTec termination system for coaxial cables and Liberty’s CatMaster termination system for category cables.

Liberty’s new LibertyLinx Control Cables are available now from authorized Liberty dealers. They can be seen with Liberty’s other outstanding products at Booth 142, Colorado Convention Center, during the show.
