Lenmar Provides a Single Portable Solution for Extended Run-Time and Recharging for the Multitude of Consumer Electronics Devices

Lenmar Enterprises, Inc., a leading manufacturer of rechargeable batteries, battery chargers and accessories for consumer electronics, has announced the introduction of a compact line of portable Bat Paks: 2-in-1 universal battery packs that also function as a charger to recharge portable electronic devices ranging from cell phones to laptops.

The three models consist of one powered by 4 AAA batteries (included) delivering up to 14 hours of extended power for devices accepting 5V USB power such as Cell Phones, MP3s, PDAs and even PSPs. The second is an ultra slim-line rechargeable Lithium-Ion cell providing up to 20 hours of portable back-up power for handheld devices. The third is a compact external laptop Lithium-Ion battery giving an extra 2-4 hours of portability for travelers. MSRPs range from $19.99 to $149.99.

Lenmar Product Marketing Manager, Kernan McCoy says, “Consumers have come to insist on portability. While the preference has been to smaller slim-line devices, people still want the convenience of instant, portable extended run time. This line allows users to extend run-time without being anchored to the car or wall plug. These products are ideally suited to the teen market, students and business travelers alike.”

Stressing the charging feature, “everything else is going portable. Why shouldn’t battery chargers?” says Lenmar VP of Sales and Marketing, Eric Lott, “these units not only provide extended run time but will also recharge the hardware’s internal battery.”

Lenmar President and CEO, Marty Goldberg calls out: “Consumers today have several portable devices. Having a single back-up power supply and a charger that works on multiple devices provides a convenient, economical and universal solution in an increasingly customized hardware market.”
