Kanto Audio REN Wireless Speakers Support Bluetooth 5.3 and HDMI ARC

At $599, Kanto REN are versatile wireless powered speakers that can work with a PC, TV or as a standalone stereo system.

Kanto Ren Wireless Speaker Front and Back

The wireless loudspeaker category continues to evolve with a wide range of models that cover every possible price point and that’s a positive development for consumers. Audiophiles looking to add a secondary pair of speakers have a lot of options from high-end brands such as KEF, Sonus faber, Dynaudio, and PSB to select from. For consumers with smaller budgets, there are some great products available from companies like Audioengine and Kanto Audio that have focused on the entry-level market for years.

The Kanto Audio REN

Kanto Audio has expanded its existing powered speaker line-up, which includes the award-winning TUK ($699), ORA ($349), YU6 ($499) and recently announced ORA4 ($399). The new REN Active Wireless Desktop Speakers ($599) fit near the top of the lineup and add one important feature.

REN is the first KANTO speaker that features an HDMI ARC connection. This enables a high-quality connection to televisions, delivering an enhanced viewing experience. Volume can conveniently be adjusted with the supplied IR remote control.

Alongside the HDMI ARC input, the REN Speaker features Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity, and USB-C and Optical inputs supporting audio up to 24-bit/96kHz. The USB Type-C port allows users to connect audio sources such as an iPhone 15, Android devices, Digital Audio Players, PC, Mac, and more.

The Kanto REN also feature RCA Line-in and 3.5mm Mini Jack inputs. This provides a connection to analog audio sources, such as tape decks, CD players, and turntables with a built-in phono stage.

In addition, a dedicated Sub-out with a selectable crossover is included, ensuring easy integration with a powered subwoofer — such as the Kanto Audio SUB8 ($269.99).
