Immersive Launches New Video/Audio Convergence Player/Processor

Home Theater Innovator Integrates HDTV Scaling and
DVD Player with DVD-Audio/Super Audio CD

Orchard Park, NY — August 10, 2004 — Immersive Inc., an innovator in the manufacturing of high-end HDTV convergence and video display/processing products, released its all new Simmetry DVP, a blend of high-performance video processing, DVD player, with audiophile level DVD-A/SACD playback. The Simmetry DVP incorporates Genesis-Microchip’s Grammy award winning DCDi video processing and an impressive list of audio features that insures its position as the centerpiece of high-end performance for the Home Theater market. The result is a beautifully balanced presentation of digital quality audio and video that is sure to impress the most discriminating home theater enthusiast.

Utilizing the full 6.75 MHz of bandwidth available to DVDs through its built-in DVD player, Simmetry DVP is capable of delivering a pure digital signal to a digital display that vividly renders every detail with no loss of resolution or analog noise. Combined with its built-in HDTV video processor that can upconvert/downconvert/crossconvert all HDTV signals — including those encrypted with HDCP — the Simmetry is more than capable of anchoring the most challenging of high-end home theater installations.

Simmetry DVP matches its superb video performance with equally impressive features for the audiophile. State of the art audio components, such as Burr-Brown 24/192 DACs and Black Gate capacitors, which provide for silky-smooth playback of both DVD-A and SACD formats significantly increases the listening experience. Toss in full digital bass management and a digital audio delay function that permits 0-300ms in delay and you have the ultimate in high-end audio/video performance.

The video and audio components converge into a strikingly beautiful black and silver design that bespeaks the quality from within. The unit weighs 32 lbs. in a 6-1/8 x17-1/8 x 13-13/16 chassis that is rack mountable. A programmable remote provides full functionality from your favorite room position. The Simmetry DVP will be available in August and will retail for $8,995.

Immersive will be showing Simmetry and other exciting new products at CEDIA 2004 Sept. 10-12 in Indianapolis, Indiana Booth #506.
