Home Entertainment Show 2007 Scores a Home Run!

May 30, 2007–The Home Entertainment Show 2007 held May 11-13, 2007, at the Grand Hyatt New York Hotel in New York City, will be remembered by exhibitors, consumers, and visiting media as a well-attended showcase of some of the finest home-entertainment products available.

Over 10,000 audio and video enthusiasts and more than 450 members of the press from all over the globe attended the Show and had a chance to see, hear and try out more than 250 brands in over 100 demo rooms. In addition, Showgoers were delighted by a variety of free musical performances from jazz and classical musicians, while brushing up on their consumer-electronics knowledge by attending a number of free educational seminars on a variety of subjects relating to home audio and video technologies.

Several exhibitors took the opportunity to debut new products that kept the lines forming outside their demo rooms. Manufacturers from A to Z showed their finest: Ambiphonics/TacT Audio/Sound Lab, Aurum Acoustics, Hewlett-Packard, KEF, Krell, Meridian, Red Wine Audio, Simaudio, Zu Audio, Zvox Audio, and many more.

According to Rob MacDonald, Senior Vice President & Group Publisher of PRIMEDIA’s Home Technology Group, sponsors of the Show, “The 2007 HE Show was a terrific success, with thousands of enthusiasts getting a firsthand opportunity to experience top home entertainment components in a truly intimate setting and enabling them to make better informed purchasing decisions. It was refreshing to see so many enthusiasts in one location grilling expert manufacturers and really enjoying themselves.”

Home Entertainment 2007 is cosponsored by PRIMEDIA’s Home Technology & Photography Group of leading online and print publications: Stereophile, Audio Video Interiors, Home Theater, UltimateAVmag.com, and Shutterbug. Participating sponsors include: Hewlett-Packard, Hometoys.com, OnVideo.com, and Quebec Audio & Video magazine.

Dates and location for the 2008 Home Entertainment Show will be announced at a later date.
