Rancho Santa Margarita, CA 10/26/2006 – Teq Gear, Inc announces the introduction of its new wireless XGA receiver WID101 that allows the user to receive SVGA to WXGA resolution video and audio from any wireless computer via industry standard 802.11 g/a/b network protocol. Simple to install, it takes only a few minutes to link a PC, with a wireless network card, to the WID101 receiver to show high quality video and stereo audio on any display up to 250 ft away. DVD movies will be played back without any image lagging or audio delay.

Select any of the three available transmission modes, wireless 802.11 g/a/b, LAN cable, or local DVI-D input port, to output picture perfect quality digital video, via WID101’s DVI-D port. Multiple PC can request to link to a single receiver, while the user of the active transmitting PC allows or denies to pass control to another user.
The WID101 is typically used in classrooms and auditoriums, museums, houses of worship, boardrooms, and for digital signage, because of the ease of use, quick connection without long cables, and secured transmission through WEP encryption.

Key Features:

Wireless link: 802.11 g/a/b
Resolution: VGA, SVGA, XGA, WXGA
Mode: Wireless, local DVI-D port, or LAN cable
Outputs: DVI-D + stereo audio
Transmission rate: 54 Mbps / 11 Mbps
Transmission mode: Compressed and encrypted (WEP)
Video Connector: DVI
Audio Connectors: 3.5 mm mini jack
DVD/Video playback: full motion with audio (30 fps)

Developed by Teq Gear with a consortium of engineers and a manufacturer, this product exceeds all current wireless AV transmission products in the industry. It is the only product that truly plays back DVD movies without image lagging or audio delay. As a combination of IT network technology, wireless transmission protocols, streaming media software, and hardware implementation the WID101 becomes a true alternative to sending high resolution video signal over coax cables, twisted pair cables (UTP), or fiber optics.

“We are exited about the development of this product and introducing it to the American market,” explains Mitesh Patel, CEO of Teq Gear, Inc. and continues, “our competition is working frantically to catch up, but we are already developing the next generation of wireless products, which may be shown at our next major AV tradeshows in the US .”
