Fitbit Alta HR Fitness Band Adds Heart Rate Tracking

Fitbit Alta HR Fitness Band on Wrist

World’s Slimmest Fitness Wristband with Continuous Heart Rate Tracking

Fitbit just released the Alta HR ultra-slim fitness wristband with continuous heart rate tracking. The $150 activity band combines the benefits of PurePulse technology with automatic exercise recognition, sleep tracking, battery life of up to seven days, and smart notifications. Fitbit’s new software features Sleep Stages and Sleep Insights to improve your shut-eye time. With one of the world’s largest sleep databases, Fitbit can help you learn more about your sleep stats and how your trends compare to those of the same age and gender. Plus, see relevant tips for improving your sleep quality and your nightly routine.

Following last year’s Fitbit Alta model, the identical looking Alta HR provides new health and fitness capabilities such as better calorie burn measurement, seeing real-time heart rate zones, viewing resting heart rate trends, and access to more advanced sleep tracking and insights. These advancements will help you:

  • Stay on track toward your health and weight goals by exercising at the right intensity and tracking calories in vs. calories burned each day.
  • Make more informed decisions about your health by seeing how consistent exercise can improve your resting heart rate over time. A decrease in resting heart rate is a key indicator of cardiovascular health; changes up or down may indicate illness or other issues.
  • Better understand your sleep quality by gaining insight into time spent in light, deep and REM sleep as well as how different activities and habits affect your sleep patterns; receive personalized insights on how to improve your sleep for better overall health.
